This Privacy Policy describes how American Premium Vitamins ("the Site", "we", "us") collects, uses and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or buy from americanpremium.com.

American Premium Vitamins is a trading name of MASI SUNRISE, SLU, Avinguda de Pau Casals 14, 08021 Barcelona, Spain.

"Personal Information" means information that can identify an individual.

What we collect

Device information

Collected: browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, pages and products viewed, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
Why: to load the Site correctly and analyse usage so we can improve it.
How: automatically, using cookies, log files, tags and pixels.
Shared with: Shopify, our platform processor.

Order information

Collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address and phone number.
Why: to fulfil your order, process payment, arrange shipping, send invoices and confirmations, screen for fraud, and — where you have asked for it — send you information about our products.
How: from you.
Shared with: Shopify and our payment and fulfilment providers.

Subscription information

Collected: your plan, billing cadence, renewal dates, charge history, payment method token, and cancellation records.
Why: to run your subscription, process recurring charges, apply the terms you accepted at checkout, calculate any amount due on early cancellation, and keep a record of the terms and authorizations you accepted.
How: from you at checkout, and generated by us as your subscription runs.
Shared with: Shopify and our subscription processor.

Support information

Collected: what you tell us when you contact support, including your message and any order details.
Why: to answer you and keep a record of the issue.

Children

This Site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us Personal Information, contact us and we will delete it.

Sharing your information

We share Personal Information with service providers who help us run the store and fulfil our contract with you. For example, we use Shopify to power the store — see Shopify's privacy policy.

We may also share Personal Information to comply with law, respond to a subpoena, warrant or other lawful request, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your Personal Information for money. Sharing for targeted advertising may count as a "sale" or "share" under some US state laws — see Your Privacy Choices below.

We may share Personal Information with other companies in the MASI group, which operates the MASI, American Premium Vitamins and Alanta brands and their websites (masi.eu, americanpremium.com, alanta.eu). The group's parent company is MASI AG (Zug, Switzerland); MASI SUNRISE, SLU (Barcelona, Spain) is a company within that group. Where a group company uses your information to market its own products to you, we rely on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us.

Advertising and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how customers use the Site — see Google's privacy policy or opt out.

We advertise on platforms including Meta and Google, which may use cookies and pixels to show you our products elsewhere and measure whether our advertising works.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising at the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.

How long we keep it

We keep order and subscription records for as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations. You can ask us to erase your information — see Your rights.

Automated decision-making

We do not make fully automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Shopify uses limited automated fraud prevention, including temporary blocklists of IP addresses and cards linked to repeated failed transactions, which persist for hours or days.

Your rights

US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia — you may have the right to know what Personal Information we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need longer.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sale or sharing for that browser and device.

If you are in the EEA or UK

You may have rights to access, correct, erase, port or restrict our use of your Personal Information, and to object to processing. Contact us at the address below. Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the store, your consent for marketing, and compliance with legal obligations.

Where your information is held

We are established in Spain and our service providers, including Shopify, operate internationally. Your Personal Information is therefore processed both inside and outside the United States, including in the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

Where we transfer information to a provider or group company in another country, we rely on that recipient's contractual data protection commitments, including standard contractual clauses where they apply. Switzerland, where another MASI group company is established, is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. As we are established in Spain, the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing in addition to the US state laws described above. If you are in the EEA, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, or with the Spanish Agencia Espanola de Proteccion de Datos (AEPD).

Security

Payment card details are encrypted in transit. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
